Our story

Four decades of knowledge. One deeply local perspective.

Andean Adventures Peru began in Cusco in 1985, inspired by a desire to share the Andes through authentic, carefully operated travel.

Today, that same local perspective guides every journey we design. We bring together decades of experience, trusted relationships and firsthand knowledge of Peru to create itineraries that are personal, well paced and thoughtfully considered.

For us, expertise is not simply knowing where to go. It is understanding how the people, places, timing, comfort and support behind a journey come together to create an experience that feels effortless and genuinely meaningful.

A quality foundation that still guides us

Quality is not defined by a logo alone

It is reflected in the systems, habits and decisions behind every journey.

As an authorized Inca Trail operator, we work within the regulations established to protect the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and support responsible operations along the trail.
  1. ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 achieved

Andean Adventures Peru previously achieved certification to ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management.

  2. Management systems incorporated

Although these certifications are no longer active, the systems, procedures and culture of continuous improvement developed through that process continue to shape how we plan and operate our journeys.

  3. CALTUR Gold received

That work also helped lay the foundation for us to receive CALTUR Gold, a tourism quality recognition from Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR).

Memorable journeys should strengthen the places that make them possible

Our responsible travel approach brings together practical environmental management, positive engagement with local communities, ongoing training and a commitment to safe, high-quality operations. It influences how we design itineraries, select services, prepare our teams and guide travelers through Peru.

People and communities

We value local knowledge, respectful encounters and working relationships that contribute positively to the destinations in which we operate.

Nature and heritage

We work to reduce the impact of our operations and encourage travelers to help protect Peru’s landscapes, wildlife and cultural heritage.
